From Tomatoes to Chocolate – Go Organic & Fair Trade

19/06/2012 at 09:30 Leave a comment

My blog book report on Tomatoland shared important information on bad farming practices in Florida around the tomato industry. It was an eye opener for me and I hope for you.

Friend Ethan Austin recently wrote in his blog about The Scary Reality of Chocolate. A number of folks commented on his blog and left some great resources about fair trade chocolate, knowing where your food comes from and other information.

I try to buy as local and organic as I can. Not only for my health, but to support local farmers and their crews.  I am committed to doing so and encourage you to do the same.

Lady Moon Farms grows amazing organic tomatoes and more from their farms in Georgia, Pennsylvania and Florida. Look for them through your CSA, farmers’ market and grocery stores.

Divine Chocolate from Ghana has been my go to, fair trade chocolate for years. You can buy it at some Whole Foods and online at their site.
