I had a great conversation with Natalie Goldfein from Inspiring Leadership Partners. You can listen to the podcast here.
We talked about leadership, creating balance, how being a balanced leader (on many levels) makes for a good team. Some of the key attributes of great leaders:
- Ability to listen and hear
- Always growing to be better
- “Do I need to be a leader all the time in every situation?”
Natalie had great questions she asks of leaders when she coaches them,
“What legacy do you want to have or leave with the organization and the people?”
“What influence and impact do you want to have?”
“What are my values and vision – how are they aligned with this organization and people?”
She also shared a great tool she calls PULSE to keep your leadership on track:
Personal knowing
Understanding others – servant leadership
Listening – true listening
Setting the stage for success
Executing and getting “it” done
We talked about creating good energy, leading with positive energy, deciding to have a positive effect and the influence leaders have on creating positive vibrations and passing on good energy. Next post some suggestions on getting and keeping positive energy in your life.
