Talking with Titans

A long drive requires a good podcast and I was glad to have this one – Tony Robbins The Tools of Titans – a long chat with Tim Ferriss reveals the tactics, routines and habits of great people based on his latest book is Tools of Titans.
Couple of take aways I plan on using moving forward:
- Tony talks about improving the questions you ask. Some of Tim’s:
- What’s the worst that can happen?
- What are the assumptions and “stories” I tell myself and how can I break them?
- From Peter Thiel – What can you do to make your 10x plans work in 6 months? Hint: Don’t tell him it’s impossible.
- Do the opposite of what you’ve been doing – What change can I make over the next 24-48 hours to make progress?
- Success without fulfilment doesn’t satisfy
- Get 8-10 hours of sleep every night
- Red teaming – bring together a section of your staff – or other staff to disrupt and question your plans/company
- Future plan no more than 6-12 months – focus on values clarification. Allows for more flexibility with opportunities, experimentation and see what doors open and people come my way
