Mitch Joel of Twist Image has a great blog Six Pixels of Separation. His latest post is all about storytelling and wonderful book recommendation: A Million Miles in a Thousand Years by Donald Miller.
As nonprofit professionals, our work is all about storytelling. Based on Mitch’s review and blog post, we all need to read this book ASAP. Look for follow up posts as I read through it.
While we are talking about communications and storytelling, let me share two of my favorite resources:
Andy Goodman at Cause Communications. Andy is best known for his speeches and workshops on storytelling, presenting, design and strategic communications, and has been invited to speak at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government as well as at major foundation and nonprofit conferences. He currently serves on the faculty of the Communications Leadership Institute, which trains nonprofit executive directors and grantmakers. Check out Why Bad Ads Happen to Good Causes.
