Be sure to follow my tweets @Btalisman, on the fly interview live from the conference on my Cinch channel and this blog as I share my experiences.

Tuesday, March 21

Plenary: Embracing our Common Humanity, President Bill Clinton

I’m Leaving
with Penelope Burke will talk about her research and new book on the high cost of turn-over in our profession. Great topic, great presenter.

How Tweet It Is to Have a Friend like You(Tube) with Nicci Noble and Sean Sullivan. Nicci and Sean really know their stuff and I know this will be an engaging session.

The Ever-Changing World of Small Nonprofit Boards with Sean Hammerle. I was honored to visit China with Sean on the AFP People to People program and know he can present this important topic for smaller nonprofit leaders.

A Facebook Fan Page Your Donors will Like (or even love) with Holly Ross, Executive Director of the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN)! Holly will be joining the AFP conference directly from the NTEN Nonprofit Technology Conference (NTC).

How High is Up? with Guy Mallabone. Guy is a great presenter and this session on fund development audit is sure to impress. Joining our list of international visitors, Guy hails from Alberta, Canada.

How to Have Your Cake and Eat It Too! Mixing Cause Marketing and Individual Giving with Lynn Croneberger from Reading is Fundamental (RIF) and Laura Goodman from Share Our Strength. These two leaders know their stuff.

AFP Social Media Connects:

Twitter, @AFPIHQ and #afpmeet will be posting information from conference sessions and information even if you aren’t there in person. Please join the Twitter feed and add your comments.

And, of course, there is the Facebook page for the conference. Like it to get updates from the conference and truly connect online with your fundraising colleagues worldwide. About 100+ fans now, but if we tell more colleagues, more colleagues will join us there.

Discussions can also be found via LinkedIn where AFP will be hosting conference discussions.

Once the conference starts AFP will post photos on Flickr and AFP YouTube channel.
